Accessibility Study for the Maracanã Stadium Complex – RJ
Conduct an urban, transportation and mobility diagnostic, checking access and exit conditions at the stadium complex, as well as internal and circulation flows to identify major bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
ACTIVITIES DEVELOPED
- Review of public transportation offer
- Determining the capacity of systems allowing access to the Maracanã complex to ensure capacity to meet the demand
- Analysis of road capacity in accessing the complex, and vehicle internal circulation
- Analysis of the time it takes for the public to exit the stadium and level of service for flows in the various scenarios of operation during events
- Checking the capacity of internal and external parking lots serving the complex
- Checking the availability of support areas
- Identifying any operational bottlenecks
- Checking different operational situations, while considering circulation restrictions of different fan bases and scenarios for the use of access ramps
